Accountant Lauren and physio Sam eloped to The Lodge on Loch Goil, Argyll, Scotland on 11 December 2021 to have an intimate, relaxed wedding around the banks of Loch Goil.

The couple, who love finding themselves in the great outdoors, wanted an amazing location to become central for their marriage, deciding on the festive season to create Christmas much more special.

The bride fell deeply in love with the FeelTimes boho wedding dress, its romantic, open-backed silhouette showing perfectly the delicate floral embroidery.

"I wanted something a little more unique and fell deeply in love with the dress around the website. I knew it might be perfect to have an outdoor wedding in Scotland and I felt so special inside it."

"We were very interested in getting married outside. The marriage is about us happens to be the theme of each conversation we've ever endured about marriage. We desired to get married within an outside place, having a beautiful backdrop to boost the moment we share our vows and commit ourselves to one another."

The groom wore a dapper Armani suit having a Turnbull Asser shirt, a Rampley Co tie, and shoes from Loake. His fragrance was Le Labo Thé Noir 29.

"Our first date was in a local park with all four dogs on 24 January 2021. It had snowed that morning so felt magical and special."

Sam: "We got engaged nine months later, on 3 October 2021. Lauren and I spent a weekend down in Appledore, Devon."

"It would be a wet and cold Saturday and I had spent such a long time waiting for this very day to come that I needed to go through by using it, regardless of the weather. We drove to Crows Point using the dogs and embarked upon a late afternoon walk around the beach. As soon as we started walking across the beach, the rain stopped, and also the clouds started to separate."

Walking there together is among the groom's favorite memories.

Sam: "A favorite moment of mine was seeing Lauren for that first time in her dress. It would be a moment I had waited quite a long time for and I’ll always remember how incredible she looked. Walking down together towards the loch shores knowing I was about to get married was also a really special, intimate moment."

The day's photographer was Meggy Mac Photography, whose epic, sweeping shots from the loch and also the newly-weds are merely breath-taking.

"As soon as we found Megan on Google we fell deeply in love with her type of photography. We found it to become very atmospheric and may compare it to film stills which captured the storyline perfectly. On the day, she was amazing."

The couple was built with a sweet, romantic first dance outside to 'Lucky Sometimes' by Pokey La Farge.

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Our main suggestion is to plan your wedding just how you both want and try to not consider other people. So many decisions are created to please family and guests however in doing so you might lose sight of what is vital that you and your day."
