Instead of using the typical 8.5"×11" size you can design a tri-fold using an 11"×17" size or if you wish for a bigger one, you can even go up to 25.5".

A Z-fold is slightly similar to Tri-fold as it has three panels on a single piece of paper. The only difference is Z-fold has each panel on top of the other which makes it look like its name from the outline and not in a letter form. It is noteworthy that the cover of the Z-fold is on the right-most panel, unlike Tri-fold which has its cover on the left panel.

Gate Fold

It is one big piece of paper divided into one big panel and two smaller panels that are half the size of the larger panel. The smaller panels are folded inwards so that the larger panels appear on the central top which eventually makes it look like a gate. However, it's slightly on the expensive side, fundamentally because of the advantages that come along with it. 

And because it's expensive and has a better quality of paper used in the making of this Gate fold brochure it lasts long and looks and feels amazing. These types of brochures are suitable for high-end products or services as the folding technique reflects a "grand and posh reveal"

Roll Fold 

A roll fold is also called a barrel fold or over-and-over fold because of the interesting fold, it intrigues the reader through the content in a tidy manner. It is a wonderful alternative to traditional Bi-folded brochures. It gives a safe space for an advertiser to put their content and is one of the most straightforward strategies of brochure publicity. 

A roll-fold brochure has four or more panels folded consecutively in equal proportion. In the typical four-folded panel, the panel on the end is folded inward to lie evenly on top of the next panel and both panels are then folded inward again to lie against the next panel and eventually look like a book with each panel equally folded.

They give an equal amount of space to explain separate key points or provide information “roll” uniformly onto the next panel. These are best suitable for step-to-step guides and instruction manuals.
